I'm kind of tired of always feeling the need to prove that I look the way I look on social media. I'm tired of NEEDING to post videos of myself every few posts. Im tired of mean comments on every comment section on every article or interview about me or about anyone or anything else.
I know my angles to make me look and feel beautiful. We all have insecurities and no ones perfect. Sometimes I gain weight, other times I look puffy and sometimes I'm "too skinny" and no matter what I look like people always have something mean to say about my body, as if theyre trying to make me look the way THEY like, the way THEY think is right for a woman to look. Some even have the nerve to call me "fake" and say real women don't look like me, WTF does that mean? Why is it okay to say such things about women looks? I work my ass off to look the way I do, I lift weights 4 times a week and eat 6 healthy meals a day and am still learning how to love and accept myself- we all know how hard it is when everyone and everything on Instagram look so perfect. As a model, I get to work with the most talanted people, but sometimes the makeup artist can make me look so bad, the styling and lighting can be so unflattering and the photographer can choose the worst possible photos of me that I want to run away and cry because all I think about is "what if my followers see this bad photo of me and make fun of me?" You see what some people do to popular women on the internet; they look for bad pictures of them and compare those pictures to the pictures those women post on ther social media accounts just in the purpose of shaming them and showing how "bad" they look in real life. This is so sad and so so wrong! Men NEVER get this kind of hate and constant judgment.
My grandmother always taught me that if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything. And sadly, it works the other way around on social media. Mean worlds are so easy to write to someone you never looked in the eye to.
This is 2018, people are more conneced than ever before, people are smarter than ever before. We are all the same no matter where we were born and what we look like. Just be kind to eachother. Love is free ❤
